Chibog – a Filipino slang term for “eat” or “food” – this is a description put on the restaurant’s wall, and it’s exactly what you are likely to do when you visit Chibog Restaurant. This restaurant specialised on classic comfort Filipino food and is located in Al Seef Tower 2, Cluster U in the Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT).
We went here one afternoon and had a great time eating some of their big meals. The environment was inviting and comfortable, with polite service and a pleasant ambiance. Classic Filipino favourites such as Sinigang na Bangus, Beef Kare-Kare, Pancit Palabok, Chibog Signature Beef Ribs BBQ, Chicken/Beef Sisig, Chicken/Beef Dinakdakan, Tapsilog, Beef Bone Marrow, Lumpiang Shanghai, and more were available on the menu.
How Chibog Restaurant Started
Chibog started as a Cloud Kitchen in Al Quoz, Dubai, in July 2022. Their business were limited to delivery and catering. After a few months of market research, they developed a business method and proposed a real restaurant concept to prospective investors.
Their proposal was successful, and they were allowed to open the doors of their very own restaurant in JLT in November 2022 after finishing business licence applications, clearances, and inspections from Dubai authorities. Chibog Restaurant now serves dine-in customers, caters, and delivers throughout the immediate region.
We are pleased that a growing percentage of Filipinos in the UAE are starting their own enterprises. After all, there are 650,000 Filipinos in the UAE. It’s inspiring to hear of fellow kabayans starting profitable businesses and expanding beyond the employee setup.

We talked with the co-owners, who are young professionals, and they expressed their pride in bringing Filipino food to other races in Dubai. They serve authentic and traditional Filipino comfort cuisine.
