Friday, October 6

Earn as you burn at this three-day fitness event

Do you need a workout motivation? Warehouse Gym in Al Quoz is offering a three-day ‘work-shop’ in cooperation with PUMA, where (literally) every calorie counts. Yes, one calorie burned equals one PUMA coin to spend in-store on exclusive goods. Participants are urged to bring their watches in order to track their calorie expenditure. Enjoy a family-friendly show at Dubai Opera

Dubai Opera has wowed us with a number of remaining musicals in recent years, like Mamma Mia!, Chicago, the Musical, Footloose, and many more. The performing arts complex has announced that another famous musical, Matilda the Musical, will grace its stage in October. The Royal Shakespeare Company’s multi-award-winning performance will visit Dubai Opera for 10 days from October 3 to October 12, with tickets beginning at Dhs325.

Try the new dishes at Honeycomb Hi-Fi

Honeycomb Hi-Fi, located behind the wall of an appealing vinyl record shop inside the Pullman Hotel Downtown, is billed as the city’s first-of-its-kind listening bar. With a High-Fidelity sound system, minimalist décor, and gloomy lighting, it has the feel of a secret record store for audiophiles in the know. The lively pub is acknowledged for its inventive drinks, slick DJ sets and diversified Japanese Izakaya food. Chef Matt Abergel announced several limited-relaase menu items such as sea bass belly with orange daikon and ponzu (Dhs65), short rib with Tokyo negi and kalbi (Dhs76), and taco nanbanzuke with octopus and spicy escabeche (Dhs74).

Sparkle your way through sober October

Ready to take your pre-weekend exercise to the next level? Whether you’re joining Sober October or just trying to be healthy, DIFC gyms 1Rebel and Wild Idol have created Fizzy Fridays to celebrate the without alcohol month. Every Friday in October, participants are able to take a pink-themed Ride or Reshape class at 1Rebel, complete with energising tunes and sparkly post-workout drinks provided by Wild Idol, a vegan, gluten-free, low-calorie, non-alcoholic champagne alternative.

Enjoy the return of this family outdoor attraction

Dubai Safari Park is an outdoor place unmatched any other, allowing you to get up close and personal with a staggering array of species. 3,000 animals are housed on the 119-hectare property.
