Step back in time at this immersive exhibition

Long before glamorous skyline pictures dominated your Google image search, the United Arab Emirates was a desert home to Bedouins, camels, and dhows—the simple life. One of the greatest explorers and travellers of the 20th century, Sir Wilfred Thesiger, has photographed and created a vast collection of these kinds of images. It’s likely that the Al Ghubaiba Metro Station is where you viewed his photos. These days, Art in Space, a gallery that blends digital and creative techniques to create a multiple, totally immersive sensory experience, offers you the chance to see them in a whole new light. Amazing black-and-white images of Sir Wilfred Thesiger are on display at a digital exhibition called The Year of Wilfred Thesiger, which runs for just two days this week. You may watch it for free on Tuesday, May 14 and 15. To read more, click this link.
