Stretch it out with a beach yoga session

Common Grounds, a popular EatX concept, is opening a bright new café on Kite Beach. The ideal stop for post-run smoothies and sand in your toes smoothie bowls. Join a beach yoga session with Rise Wellness on Saturday for Dhs75, which involves a post-stretch coffee at Common Grounds. The vinyasa flow class starts at 9 a.m. and will focus on relaxing the back, neck, and shoulders, as well as opening up the hips, before closing with a long relaxing savasana (meditation) to the sound of waves. Catch a free film under the stars

If you weren’t aware, Alserkal Art Week is returning until Sunday morning, November 26. It is jam-packed with art and culture, and the topic this time is dedicated to Gaza in relation to current events. The free movie screenings provided by Cinema Akil are one of the events not to be missed. Instead of going to the movies, travel to The Yard, where you can enjoy them below the sky. The film programme ends on Saturday, November 25 with a showing of Foragers.

This weekend, house music legend Diplo will play at Terra Solis in the midst of the desert. The Grammy Award-winning DJ is on his way to the dunes, and customers are asked to dig their toes into the sand while listening to Cold Water, Lean On, and Where Are You Now.

Laugh out loud with a comedy legend

Another one from the crème de la crème of top comedians from across the world, Jim Gaffigan will appear on the Dubai Opera’s stage this Saturday for his international standup tour ‘Barely Alive’. Take part in the Dubai Run

This wildly popular challenge takes runners through the heart of Dubai, with world-famous sites as a history. The path, which is only available once a year due to the reopening of Sheikh Zayed Road, includes the known Museum of the Future, Emirates Towers, and the Burj Khalifa. It’s an amazing chance to see the city like you’ve never seen it before. Choose from two routes: 5km or 10km, all of which start near the Museum of the Future. Register for free to be one of the 200,000 runners who will take to the streets this year.

There are many fantastic brunch alternatives in the city, but The Crossing’s new weekend brunch is a must-try for award-winning Indian food in a pleasant setting.
