8 electrifying events just announced for Abu Dhabi

An amazing, exciting line-up of events was recently revealed at an Abu Dhabi Calendar appearance as Abu Dhabi continues to shift into events and entertainment mode for the year (and beyond). Here are a few that have piqued our interest…

50 Cent

Hip-hop Hercules 50 Cent will play as part of a strong post-game entertainment lineup for Season 2 of the World Wimbledon League (WTL) in the capital before the end of the year. The performer, who dominated much of his genre, especially in the 2000s, is slated to perform some of his best singles, including “Candy Shop”, “Just a Lil Bit”, “In Da Club” and others. The World Tennis League is an important update to the capital’s calendar, hosting the finest of world tennis talent from December 21 to December 24.

Mother of the Nation

This year, Mother of the Nation (MOTN) will be held in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra, and it’s seeming like it’ll be a larger version of the festival than we’ve ever seen. We already know it will be open from November 15 to January 1, 2024, so this is one we are very excited about, with “AAA-grade” regional talent such as Nancy Ajram, Ahmed Saad, and others make up the who’s who of their entertainment programmes.

Liwa Festival

The Liwa Festival in Abu Dhabi is a much-anticipated annual incident, and if last year’s edition is a guide, we can expect a bigger and better version this year, with customers being treated to an array of entertaining options such as concerts, family activities, shows, rides, gaming, dining, cultural treats, and much more. We also know that the revelry will begin on December 8 and end on New Year’s Eve.

Spacetoon Orchestra

As part of the Mother of the Country celebration, an amazing Spacetoon Symphony achievement will be held in town, featuring some of our all-time faves like Sonic the Hedgehog and Barbie. We can’t wait for the regional animation and children’s entertainment brand to bring us some of the top personalities that make kids smile in Abu Dhabi.

Cirque du Soleil

If you’ve been before, you’ll want to go again. If you’ve never been, now is the moment. This is a circus-inspired experience like no other, with wonderfully succeeded in performers narrating lovely tales centred on a variety of interesting topics. It’s hard to express into words, thus we recommend purchasing a ticket and seeing for yourself what all the fuss is about. They are slated to arrive in the capital in April 2024, right after the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Monster Jam

Slam bang action with huge steel and dreadfully large tyres returns in Abu Dhabi on June 8 and 9, 2024, and we’re nervous to catch what the festival is known for throughout the world, with big, nasty, mean machines wrestling in the dirt to see who comes out on top.

Wireless Festival

On March 2, next year, two stages and over 25,000 screaming fans are expected to bring the house down at Etihad Park when Wireless Festival Middle East returns to stun capitalites and fans in the UAE once more. Musical superbrands like Travis Scott and M.I.A. put up outstanding performances earlier this year, and we can’t wait to see what the 2024 edition has in store.

Saadiyat Beach Festival

Saadiyat Island is one of our favourite sites in the city, and if you’ve been following our content, you’ll know we can’t get more of its beautiful white beaches and turquoise waters. Throw in a superbly designed event, and you’re in for an outstanding experience. We haven’t gotten any further information on this one yet, but the The area Beach Festival is on the horizon, and we’re sure you’re as excited as we are.
