Street-style Pan Asian Food at Wox in Hyatt Place Dubai/Jumeirah

Do you want some real Asian street food, such as noodles, fried rice, soup, and dumplings? Wox, a casual dining restaurant at Hyatt Place Dubai/Jumeirah, an upscale hotel near La Mer, the Dubai Museum, Jumeirah Beach Park, and other well-known sites, is a must-visit.

Wox provides popular Asian meals from places including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Unlike other restaurants, it has a “open kitchen” setup that allows diners to see experienced chefs preparing delectable delicacies!

Affordable Asian Cooking at Wox Restaurant

As mentioned before, Wox has an open concept that allows visitors to view their cuisine being made. Be amazed when the restaurant chef ignites his wok (a bowl-shaped frying pan) and prepares delicious delicacies right in front of your eyes! But keeping an eye out for those flames!

Aside from the interactive kitchen idea, the restaurant offers a gluten-free menu, vegetarian meal options, and Wi-Fi for all patrons.

Let’s get started on the meal, shall we? Crispy Spring Rolls (seafood or vegetable), Salt & Pepper Stir-Fried Squid and Wok-Fried Shrimp with Tamarind Sauce, just to name a few appetisers. We’re ready for the next round with some Wontons (Chinese dumplings), Fish Balls, Prawn Crackers, and Kimchi (a popular Korean side dish).

What about a warm cup of soup? Wox offers Tom Yam Kung, a Thai hot and sour soup, as well as Pho, a Vietnamese soup made with rice noodles, spices, and pork or chicken. Of course, the Wonton Chicken Noodle Soup, a Cantonese meal made up of wonton dumplings and greens in a boiling broth, should not be missed.

Try the Seafood Fried Rice with Bean Sprouts, Crispy Chicken Fried Rice, or Beef Fried Rice if you like rice (who doesn’t?!). Indeed, whatever combination of fried rice, noodles (udon, rice noodles, egg noodles), pork, or veggies you pick, you will find it at Wox!

Even when you think you’ve had had enough, there’s always room for dessert! Wox’s dessert menu comprises Asian staples including Coconut Ice Cream, Sago Banana with Coconut Milk, Sticky Rice with Mango and Coconut Cream…. Should we go on?

Opening Hours and Prices

Wox is open from 12:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. every day of the week. On average, a lunch for two costs roughly AED 215.

The restaurant hosts unique events on occasion. For example, on January 24, 2020, there will be a Cooking Class from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The price for this trip is only AED 60 per person, including meals. Cool!
