Catch exciting aquatic action at Mina Zayed

The first day of Sail GP, the most thrilling aquatic race we’ve ever seen, promises to be action-packed with competitors from all over the world fighting it out in identical F50 hydrofoil catamarans at nail-biting speeds. Brit pop group Take That will also wow fans on January 13 in celebration of the year’s inaugural major event in the city. The group is expected to perform well-known songs including Rule the World and Patience.

Let there be cake

There’s no denying LPM’s affinity for the French Riviera, and their new cake, the Couronne des Rois, is a delicious take on a traditional desert that features lots of lemon flavour. All of their outlets, including the one at The Galleria Al Maryah Island, will be serving the brioche bread-based cake until January 21. It is decorated with sugar instead of the traditional candied fruit. This weekend, reserve a table at LPM to prolong the celebrations for a little while longer.
