Dubai will soon be home to the tallest residential clock tower in the world

There will soon be a beautiful new private building in Dubai. It will be the first domestic clock tower in the city, thus it’s more than just a standard tower. But since this is Dubai, it’s even more lofty, aiming to be the world’s greatest private clock tower.

London Gate, an elite real estate developer in the United Arab Emirates, and Franck Muller, a Swiss luxury timepiece maker, have partnered. The Franck Muller Aeternitas Tower holds a high value for the watch manufacturer since it will mark the company’s first foray into the real estate sector.

Here’s what we know about the tower

Over 450 metres large, the Franck Muller Aeternitas Tower will be a further gem in the already breathtaking Dubai cityscape. It is located within the Dubai Marina. The stem of the Palm Jumeirah is seen in the foreground of the common clocktower drawings (see above).

“The luxury apartment development will be officially shown in January 2024 and residents can expect a handover by 2026,” says a post on Franck Muller’s website.

Keep an eye out for updates on this work while we continue watching the skyline.

The Deira Clocktower: a timeless classic…

One of the most recognisable images of Dubai from the past would have been a black and white snapshot of the Deira Clocktower.

The historic monument had a 10 million dirham transformation in May 2023, which featured new hard floors with flora and a redesign of the water fountain design.

One notable modification is the Omega-managed clock face. Since 2010, the Swiss Luxury Watch maker has been in charge of the time, and its iconic red emblem has grown in size and prominence.
