Experience barbecue like never before at Steve Harvey’s food festival

We’re less than a month out from the busy events calendar of 2024, which means that famous television personality, Family Feud star, and gastronomy aficionado Steve Harvey is going to join us on Yas Island and bring the world’s pioneering ‘Open Fire Food Festival by Steve Harvey’ to town. Yes, you read that effectively, it’s time to get eat-ertained, and tickets are now available for as little as Dhs60, providing you a front-row seat to all of the action.

The capital will get a taste of the novel idea on February 24 and 25, when fans will enjoy a sizzling mix of flavour and excitement at Abu Dhabi Hill in the Yas Marina Circuit. Along with the culinary action, the groundbreaking event will feature cooking conferences, contests, panel discussions, and musical performances.

“We’ve never done it out here before,” Steve said in a personal conversation with What’s On. I’m sending a couple of real barbecue bad boys to Abu Dhabi, and we’re going to do it the way we do it in Georgia, Iowa, Texas, and Kansas City.”

His zest for BBQ and the skill of grilling is palpable. “Nobody does it like they do over there, and I’m going to bring the boys who know how.” It will be a flavour you have never had before, and you are going to love it.” “Barbecue in the States, in areas like South Carolina or Memphis, happens seven days a week, and you’re about to see why.”

A team of highly skilled fire chefs are coming on Abu Dhabi to introduce you to the rich history and unforgettable flavours of open-flame cooking in a gastronomy masterclass inspired by Steve’s passion for the art of cooking over fire, as culinary traditions from around the world are brought to you.

Is there a global culinary centre? Abu Dhabi is all of that and more.
