Dubai Metro rain aftermath: RTA opens more Red Line stations

Although it looks like there will be more sunny days ahead, the UAE is now dealing with the impact of this week’s weather phenomenon. Take note of this update since it will impact your travel plans if you live in Dubai and rely on the Dubai Metro for transportation.

Early in the morning, Dubai’s Roads and Transportation Authority posted on their official internet thought, X (formerly called Twitter). It has been reported that a number of stations on the Red and Green Lines will be undergoing maintenance. The transportation authority stated that the metro timings will be impacted and urged passengers to follow them on their online profiles for updates.

Latest announcements

The Dubai Metro is running from Centrepoint Station to Business Bay Station and from Jebal Ali Metro to Expo2020 Station as of April 18, early in the morning.

RTA has just released an official update, though.

These stations are currently in operation:

Red Line:

Centerpoint station to Business Bay station, by direct route to Dubai Internet City and Mall of the Emirates stations

Expo 2020 Station to Jebal Ali Station

Green Line:

Etisalat to Abu Hail station via e& station

From Creek Station to Al Ras

“Work is ongoing to open the remaining stations gradually,” the RTA added.
